CHICAGO, Aug. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --Gameplan Creative today announced that it was recognized with a prestigious Inaugural CLIO Sports Design Bronze Award at a recent awards ceremony held in New York. This marks the first time the CLIO Sports Awards organization issued the honors, which are designed to recognize the growing influence of sports in the highly competitive marketing and advertising industries.
Gameplan Creative created a new brand identity for the inaugural Elite Football League of India (EFLI), which included developing team names, logos, uniform designs, and other visual elements for the 12 franchises that make up the league. To date, the EFLI has successfully introduced American-style football to the Indian market and its large consumer base, with players representing cities across India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
"A brand is one of the most valuable assets of an organization, and it must be carefully crafted to ensure it properly represents the business, and resonates with the intended customer base," said Tom O'Grady, partner and chief creative officer, Gameplan Creative. "We are proud to receive this prestigious award and to be recognized for the strong brand identity we developed for the Elite Football League of India."
The inaugural CLIO Sports Awards (http://www.cliosports.com) honored breakthrough work in sports marketing and advertising globally, and represent one of the world's most coveted awards competition for advertising, design, and communications.
"CLIO Sports recognizes the enormously dynamic and still growing impact of sports on marketing and advertising," said Nicole Purcell, executive vice president, CLIO Awards. "With some of the most powerful and inspiring work coming from this field, it's only fitting that CLIO recognizes this incredible contribution."
The EFLI is gearing up for their second season in 2014, after a successful debut in 2012, and skipping the 2013 season to implement sports marketing and consumer awareness campaigns for the league.
